  • If you are thinking of studying abroad but does not have a clue about the cost and money matters..then all your questions are answered today.
Bismar, who has shared previously with the ACIC alumni on the lifestyle as a student studying in a foreign country, will share with us again today on the financial aspect of it.
He is currently taking the BSc (Hons) International Tourism and Hospitality management course in the University of SUnderland, U.K.

1.I want to study abroad. In Sunderland. Where do i begin? What should i do.

Bismar: You should have an HND certificate... apply for recruiter agent.. i will introduce you my agent if you're really interested..have a letter of completion if you dont still have a diploma..but btter u should have it for applying visa.. and take IELTS test..

2.What is the estimate cost of studying abroad, espcially in Sunderland?

Bismar: Mine was around RM55,000..all in all.. tuition fees around RM37,000 (its depend on currency rate) equivalent to 7300pound.. visa around Rm1500.. accmodation prepayment Rm1500.. sure money Rm4000..and 2000pound for opening a new bank account and its equivalent to RM10,000...

    3. what about the cost of living?

Bismar: My cost of living for 10 months contract were 2700pound.. but i just made a prepayment 300pound for booking..its depend on recruiting agent..some agent wanted you to pay full and some agent will help you to pay "ansur-ansur"..they guarantor you...but if you really interested, i will find you a cheap accmodation here..i have many friends stay outside uni's accomodation and its cheap..

    4. Is it easy for me to find a part time job while studying?

Bismar: Well, is not easy as u think..it depends on how hardworking u are to look for a job and depends on your luck..but as of now, i have applied for 5 places of work..hopefully a tleast 1 company will call me and accept me...

    5. Share with us the life with other international students there.

Bismar: Yeah..i am close with just a few other international student here if we were in class... but most of the time i spend my time with the local people here..i mean local student here..coz, only me malaysian in my flat..all of them were british..so, u can learn their accent and develop your communication skill..frankly speaking, i was "nosebleed" with some of their words..but i try to catch and understand it.. i recomend you to take BSc (Hons) International Tourism and Hospitality management course..so that if i still here when u r coming, i will manage to guide you what is my course is all about..

    with his friends.
